Thanks to Lancome and SheSpeaks for providing this product sample for me to test out.

You all know how passionate I am about sleep, and I think the best complement someone could offer me about the way I look is that I look well-rested.

Of course I haven’t actually been well-rested for years, and I haven’t really looked it, either, because I have deep, dark circles under my eyes that never seem to go away.

Never, that is, until I was offered a chance to use Lancome’s new DreamTone Customized Skin Tone Renewal System. This tinted moisturizer-like product is supposed to be worn under moisturizer and makeup, and is said to help even out skin tone, make skin glow and reduce the appearance of dark spots.

In studies conducted by Lancome, 74 percent of users reported seeing glowing skin immediately upon use. Seventy percent saw more even skin tone after using the product for a week, and 69 percent saw a reduction in dark spots over the course of a month.

It’s available in fair, medium and dark formulations and goes on smooth like moisturizer. It’s advised that you use it twice a day, and even though I’m awful at any kind of beauty routine I’ve done a pretty good job of using it twice a day for about three weeks.

My #bareselfie Results

My #barselfie complete with wet hair!

I’ll admit this isn’t a product I would have tried on my own — mostly because it cost $98 for 1.3 ounces, but that amount will last a long time — but I actually have seen good results from it.

I would say my skin tone is a little more even and those black circles may not be completely gone but they look a lot less pronounced to me.

Lancome is challenging people who try the product to share a #bareselfie showing their results, so here’s mine.

I don’t know if other people can tell the difference, but if I see it, that’s good enough for me. I’d give it a 4 out of 5 stars, because the product is great, but it does feel a little greasy if you apply too much, and it is expensive, but the results were great so far and I look forward to seeing if my sleepy black rings continue to go away.

DreamTone is available at Lancome counters and Lancome.com. Learn more about Lancome at their Facebook page.
